Are deposits insured?
    Customer deposits are insured up to the maximum amounts permitted by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. In general, each depositor is insured up to $100,000; however balances in different account types are often insured separately.

Does Community Savings sell or dirstribute customer information to third parties or other affiliates?
    No we do not. Community Savings has a policy of not providing our customers' information to any affiliated or non-affiliated third party. Our complete privacy policy can be found on this site.
Does the bank have a special account for customers over fifty?
    Yes we do. The MyChoice 55 account is a totally free checking account with free checks for life.
How can I apply for an account?
    You can submit an application for any of our deposit or loan products through the application links on this site. After you have submitted your application, print and mail a signed copy to the Bank along with your initial deposit.

    One of our customer service representatives will be happy to assist with your application. They can be reached toll free at 1-800-837-5679. Customers can also open deposit accounts or apply for loans in person at our offices in Caldwell or Cambridge.
What balance is required to receive free checking?
    Minimum balances are not required to receive free checking. Regardless of your balance, there are no minimum balance charges, per item fees, teller fees or other nuisance charges.
What is the penalty if I redeem my certificate of deposit before maturity?
    For three-month CDs the penalty is one month’s interest, CDs from six months to one year incur a three month interest penalty, and CDs greater than twelve months carry a six-month interest penalty. Penalties are waived for emergency medical needs.
Does the bank offer a debit (check) card?
    Yes, we offer a Visa debit/check card with all of our personal checking accounts. The card is accepted anywhere Visa is accepted and at Automated Teller Machines around the world. There are no Community Savings usage fees associated with this card.
Where are the bank’s ATMs?
    Our ATMs are located at both of our very convenient office locations.

How do I report a lost or stolen ATM or Debit card?
    To report a card lost or stolen, please call 1-800-528-2273.
Does the bank offer Individual Retirement Accounts?
    Yes, Community Savings offers a high-rate certificate of deposit IRA.
